Andrew Davies' first ‘One Wales’ budget, ‘A bigger bang for the Welsh buck’

  • Rural Affairs - £148 million;

  • Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills - £1.8 billion;
  • Heritage - £155 million;
  • Central Administration - £329 million;

Well they've got my vote.

Glyn Davies 6 November 2007 at 22:45

Oh deer - not enough doe for a really big bang.

Anonymous 7 November 2007 at 10:19

Well it's easy to speak in hindsight but would it have been any better with the reindeer coalition?

Anonymous 7 November 2007 at 13:50

I expect the rainbow coalition wouldn't have made a big song and dance about it

I guess all parties would have to put out their spin when announcing a budget. The One Wales Government did go a little over the top.

We shall have to wait and see what The Welsh Conservatives make of it over the coming months.

P.S. Thanks Glyn! You are my first politician comment - well, officially at least.

I get the impression that an awful lot of 'anons' are officially working for AMs.
