It’s great we did so well by winning 19 golds but we did win other medals to and yesterday's coverage both on TV and the print media concentrated on the golds. If we are going to do even better in 2012 we must build on all medal winners and finalist.
In these games we had more Olympians into semi-finals and finals. We hit the 2012 target of 41 medals 4 years early. Now we must get more people especially the young into sports. All levels of Governments must invest in British sport no matter how successful they are. We need more facilities to allow people to take part in these sports and not have them clustered around one area but all over the UK so that not only the few can access them but the many.
And I believe congratulations are due to you, too. OK so a nice hgh place on the Welsh Blogs list in Iain Dale's beauty pageant ain't a gold medal, but it's nothing to sniff at either!
All a bit of fun, but surely not as much fun as politics ;)
