Rhodri Morgan Appreciation Society

Back in September 2007 a Facebooker set-up the group 'Rhodri Morgan Appreciation Society'. The group had 20 members when the above snapshot was taken in January 2008.

This group is for people who think that Rhodri Morgan has been a great leader of
the Welsh Labour Party and a Brilliant First Minister of Wales. Rhodri Morgan
has lead Wales a progressive direction over his years as First Minister. With
good socialist policies like free prescriptions, or his support for the Welsh
Language, Rhodri Morgan has done a lot to improve Wales, and help the worst off
in Wales.
Still at 20 members at today's date, it seems that not many Facebookers agree with the above statement. Glad to see that Alun Davies AM and Joyce Watson AM are members. Are the other Labour AMs trying to tell us something?

On the plus side for our great leader, only 4 Facebookers belong to Rhodri's other group, 'Is it just just me or does Rhodri Morgan need a new suit?'

A group totally dedicated to the fact old Rhodri has looked shabby in his suit for years. Surely its high time the old man of welsh politics bought a new suit?

Both groups are dwarfed by the Peter Black Tie Appreciation Society which has 34 members.

You ought to declare an interest. One of those 34 is YOU!

I see Martyn Williams is a member. He probably set it up. No doubt part of a big Transport House strategy mastermineded by Chris Roberts, two men more out of their depth I am yet to meet. God, that place has become such a joke.

Whatever happened to Luke Ellis?

I think my Facebook account is broken. I can't find the Ieuan Wyn Jones appreciation society group.

Re: 18 August 2008 10:30..."He probably set it up"...being that the group was quite clearly set up by Geraint Rennie, which is clearly stated in the group, then this comment is complete nonsense.

Alright Martin - calm down!

For God's sake, Mat didn't get the job,and it went to a better qualified, welsh speaking allrounder with good people skills and true socialist views as opposed to the deeply ego centric and smug attitude which seems requisite to those who work for Huw or Lynn. Leave it where it is and grow up.

I agree with 17.28. All this blog is serving to do is make our party look divided and childish. As a party member with no connection with the Bay or Transport House, I have to say that who ever these people are, if they are working for a Labour AM, yet secretly being admin staff for this blog, they should be ashamed as they have no loyalty to our party, a clear lack of ethics and true principles and worse..... Are hurting the party they claim to represent. If this is allowed to proceed by their AM's then I would rather vote for Andrew Davies or Carwyn Jones for leader. This "clever little blog" has done fatal harm to Lewis, who once I admired as a conviction politition. To allow such snide and infantile people to harm our party in such a public mannor is unforgivable. Expulsion from the party is too good for you over grown student union wannabies. Get a life and get used to the fact that Huw's chances are blown. None of you will ever sit near the table, you just don't have the substance.

calm down children...there are plenty of liberal democrats, tories and nats for everyone to be focusing on rather than indulge in these sort of play-group antics.

Anon 21:09 This blog has done no harm to Huw Lewis or Lynne Neagle for that matter. It is pretty obvious that it's not partisan other than sticking to its blog description.

2303, Keep telling yourself that as Huw loses his seat next time round! He may be conviced, but we can all see the truth for ourselves, the sooner he wakes up and smells his staff the better for the whole party.

Huw Lewis and Lynne Neagle are two of the few decent Labour AMs in the Assembly at the moment. Atleast they don't blend in like most backbenchers... and some Cabinet Ministers for that matter.

Williams has taken his photo off Facebook since you raised his profile.
